Exquisite early work of Danish ceramicist Arne Bang (1901–1983). The mouth is skillfully and deftly coaxed into an undulating oval shape, providing a lyrical counterpoint to the vessel's regular base and shoulder. The layering glaze reveals subtle shades of blue, green, and gray. Signed and dated to the underside.

Denmark, c.1937
5.5"h, 2.75" w (at widest)
