A 1930s work by Daum Frères, Nancy, this footed vessel rises from a small round base into a dramatic, wide-flared bowl. Molded in ice-blue glass flecked throughout with confetti-like inclusions of dark blue melted powder, the surface is embellished with rhythmic, acid-etched geometric bands in relief all around to create depth and a shifting play of light and shadow across the form. Etched maker's mark on the foot.
France, c. 1930
